fading landscapes
the sequence mountain spring inscription (quellschrift) shows artistically illustrated rhaetian inscriptions and other rock carvings from schneidjoch (below the guffert / tyrol). these inscriptions can be deciphered, but are not yet legible even for scientists.
the drawing sequences gaschaloah reißn are a juxtaposition of photographs taken in 2003 and 2007. the gaschaloahbach has its source near mittenwald, in the northwest of the karwendel massif, which, at 1000 square kilometers, lies partly on the bavarian side, but mainly in austria. as in a short film, the erosion phases are superimposed, partly graphically, partly photographically. the perception of the destructive power of the water thus becomes apparent and makes clear the influence of the extreme weather conditions that have been increasing for years.
