in flight

in flight over a landscape: this theme keeps me busy.
the possibility of a more abstract way of seeing. a vexing game of space to surface develops. the horizon folds upwards into the picture. only a shadow form separates heights and depths, lets the probability of a space appear for a moment, can become an abstract color form again in the next moment; new color forms challenge a reaction of the already painted spatialities. these shadow forms interest me, they inspire me again and again to a new interpretation of form and space contexts, as in the series im fluge westalpen.
aper 1 and aper 2 give the viewer a small entry point to decipher the dark and light color sequences in: ascent – ridge – descent. aper 3-4-5 completes the descent over a rocky ridge.
